This is more than a typical congratulations letter on the success of Združena levica in the recent parliamentary election in Slovenia. It is a letter expressing our excitement that SYRIZA could provide an inspiration of unity to other comrades. Because the Slovenian people entrusted you, not as a temporary electoral alliance, but as a political force capable to materialize their hope for change.
Your success proves that unity does not simply add forces – it multiplies forces. And that it is division which keeps the door to the future closed.
